WCS New Student & Returning Student Admissions Process

NEW STUDENTS — Step 1: How to begin the process

Call or email the school office to make an appointment for an education conversation with our principal.  During this conversation, our principal can answer any questions you have and you can determine if Whitehall Christian School is a good educational fit for your family.

You may also be able to tour our facility during this time.

NEW STUDENTS — Step 2: Fill Out an Application

When you have determined that Whitehall Christian School could be a good fit for your family, you can begin the application process by downloading and completing a New Student Registration Form

To complete the application process you will need to:

  • Complete the New Student Registration Form
  • Provide two letters of recommendation, including contact information, from recent teachers/administrators/pastor from his/her previous school/church
  • Submit a copy of your child’s birth certificate
  • Submit current academic and health records from his/her previous school
  • Submit physical and dental exams, as well as vaccination academic records are required for entrance to school (kindergarten or 1st grade, and 6th grade)

As our school continues to grow, classes are expected to fill up quickly.  Class capacity differs from classroom to classroom based on the grade level of the student, the physical size of the classroom and the guidelines regarding student-to-teacher ratios from the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventist schools, one of the organizations that provides accreditation for our school.  For this reason, early application is encouraged to ensure a place.

NEW STUDENTS –Step 3: Admissions Decision

Each student’s application is carefully considered by the administration. All discussions regarding applications are held in the strictest confidence. Admission decisions consider the student’s potential for success at WCS. Parents will be notified of the admissions decision in person or in writing; reasons for the decision are not disclosed to applicants.

Whitehall Christian School reserves the right to grant admittance only to students who we believe meet the criteria outlined in our Admissions Policy.

Please note!

All new students to WCS are accepted on a conditional basis for the first quarter of the school year.

The classroom teacher and the parent will meet every 2 weeks to evaluate progress and expectations for continued enrollment.

NEW STUDENTS — Step 4: Apply for Financial Assistance (optional)

Because we are a small school which strives to keep the cost of Christian education low, WCS  has limited financial assistance available. Financial assistance is need based and on a first come, first served basis. You may request a financial assistance application from our administrative assistant via email – info@whitehallchristianschool.com  or stop by the school office to pick up an application.

With limited funds available, the majority of funds will be allocated on a first application basis. It is our fervent ambition to support any family that needs assistance.  Applications will be processed as seats and funds are available.

NEW STUDENTS — Step 5: Enrollment

Once you are accepted and notified that a seat is available, you may reserve your spot by paying your non-refundable “Hold Your Seat” fee of $150 in one of two ways:

  • in person, at our school office, by cash, cashier’s check or money order. Checks should be made out to “Whitehall Christian School.”
  • online by credit card, debit card, or through your bank account by clicking on this Make a Payment link.
  • Please note that payment using a credit card incurs a 3% fee charged by Adventist School Pay. Paying with a debit card incurs a 1% fee.
  • The “Hold Your Seat” fee will be applied to your first month’s tuition.

NEW STUDENTS — Step 6: Tuition Payments

The payments are due on the first of the month. 

The first tuition payment is due on July 1st.  The “Hold Your Seat” fee is applied to your July tuition payment.

Tuition payments may be made in one of two ways:

  • in person, at our school office, by cash, cashier’s check or money order. Checks should be made out to “Whitehall Christian School.”
  • online by credit card, debit card, or through your bank account by clicking on this Make a Payment link.
  • Please note that payment using a credit card incurs a 3% fee charged by Adventist School Pay. Paying with a debit card incurs a 1% fee.

Waiting List Policy

A waiting list will be started when full class enrollment is reached. Class capacity differs from classroom to classroom based on the grade level of the student, the physical size of the classroom , and the guidelines regarding student-to-teacher ratios from the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventist schools, one of the organizations that provides accreditation for our school. 

The fee for being placed on the waiting list is $50. 

The $50 fee will be refunded if your family wants to be removed from the waiting list at any timeWhen a student is accepted, the fee is credited to the first month’s tuition.

Once on the waiting list, priority placement will be based on the order in which the applications and fees are received. 

++ Returning / Continuing Students ++

Continuing Student– Step 1: Fill out the Continuing Enrollment Agreement form

For returning WCS students, a Continuing Enrollment Agreement can be downloaded by clicking on the link.  Since you are a returning student, all other documents that you had to fill out when you enrolled for the first time should be on file in the office.

Note: If you are returning as a Kindergartner/1st grader, or as a 6th grader, you will need to provide physical and dental exams as well as vaccination records.

Applicants for priority financial aid awards for the upcoming school year should apply for financial assistance by February 16th.  With limited funds available, the majority of funds will be allocated on a first application basis. It is our fervent ambition to of support to any family that needs assistance.  Applications will be processed as seats and funds are available.
